It’s official, Jimmy Butler is Milwaukee’s kryptonite.

The 33-year-old star tormented the Bucks once again, scoring 42 points in Game 5 to lead Miami to a stunning 128-126 come-from-behind win and take the series 4-1.

He made the play of the game in the dying seconds of regulation, scoring a tough layup off an inbound pass to tie the game at 118-118 and force overtime.

They sustained the momentum in the extra period, with Miami unleashing an 8-1 run to start overtime.

Milwaukee's season ends in disappointment

The Bucks refused to roll over, though, as they made a furious fightback. After cutting Miami’s lead to 128-126, they had an opportunity to extend their season after making a defensive stop with 9.0 seconds left.

Unfortunately for Milwaukee, they were unable to execute on the other end, with their playoff lives hanging in the balance.

They failed to make a shot attempt with their final possession of the postseason, with Grayson Allen’s effort coming way after the buzzer sounded.

Butler makes NBA history

Heat players surrounded Butler after the game as they celebrated one of the biggest upsets in NBA history. Miami became just the sixth No. 8 seed to beat the No. 1 seed in the playoffs.

The upset wouldn’t be possible without 'Playoff Jimmy', who averaged 37.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game in the series. He shot an incredible 60% from the field and 44% from the 3-point area against the Bucks.

Butler became the first player in Heat history to record back-to-back 40-point playoff outings, and he did so in Games 4 and 5 to knock out the top-seeded Bucks.

Fans pay tribute to Butler

Fans took to social media to pay tribute to Butler. The phrase 'Jimmy Butler is him' became a trending topic on social media once again.

Heat to face Knicks next

Miami will next face New York in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, Sports Brief also reported.

Fans reacted to the Knicks winning their first playoff series since 2013, thanks to Jalen Brunson.

The Knicks star led his team in scoring in each of its four wins against Cleveland in the series.
