The New York Knicks are moving on to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

The Knicks won a playoff series for the first time since 2013 after beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-95 in Game 5 on Wednesday night.

Jalen Brunson scored 23 points for the Knicks, who will next face either the Milwaukee Bucks or the Miami Heat in the second round.

NBA fans made fun of the Cavs after the Knicks eliminated them with ease in the first round. New York needed just five games to oust the No. 4 seed.

Brunson delivers against Cavs

Brunson became a trending topic as well after his fantastic display in his first playoff series with New York.

He averaged 24 points in the series against Cleveland and led the Knicks in scoring in all four of their wins in Round 1, per ESPN.

Some fans pointed out Brunson’s dominance over Mitchell in the NBA Playoffs. He nearly joined the Knicks this past offseason before making his move to the Cavs.

The Knicks signed Brunson shortly thereafter, and that signing has paid dividends for them.

Randle injures ankle again

Other fans expressed concern about the injury situation of Julius Randle. He aggravated his left ankle injury in the second quarter of Game 5 after stepping on Caris LeVert’s foot.

Randle did not return and missed the entire second half.

Fans react to Butler's brilliance 

Sports Brief also reported on fans’ reactions to Jimmy Butler scoring 56 points against the Milwaukee Bucks. 

Some fans called the Miami star 'Himmy Butler' for his incredible performance in Game 4 on Monday night.

Other fans on social media blasted the Philadelphia 76ers organization for letting Butler go years earlier.
