Curry's 43-point performance in Game 4 of the 2022 NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics is considered one of the best in NBA history. The Warriors went into that game 2-1 down and were staring at a 3-1 deficit in Game 5.

The Celtics found out what Curry could do when he's in the zone. After winning that game, the Warriors never looked back. They went on to win the next two which sealed their fourth title in eight years.

Curry was awarded the Finals MVP, a trophy missing from his cabinet. It cemented his status as one of the most influential players in NBA history.

Curry is also the 3-point leader in NBA history and has a catalogue of heat-check moments in the league.

JTA on Curry brilliance

Speaking on 'Outta Pocket' podcast, JTA discussed what it's like playing with both Curry and LeBron James.

“So when he was doing that, I knew it was over. Cause when Steph’s in his zone, nobody can stop him. Can’t nobody guard him, bro. Nobody. Not a soul in the NBA can guard him,” he said via SI.

JTA added that in his brief period in the NBA, he's yet to see someone like Curry.

“I’ve only been in the league for three whole years and I have yet to see somebody that just puts it up like him.”

Curry is nursing a shoulder injury sustained in mid-December and has missed the Warriors' last seven games. The two-time MVP is having another phenomenal season. He's averaging 30 points in 26 NBA games so far.

Kerr on Curry injury

Sports Brief earlier reported on Warriors coach Steve Kerr providing a positive injury update on Curry.

Kerr said Curry is getting closer to action, adding that he has begun on-court training.

"He's been doing a lot of stuff on the court. So, he's getting a lot of good work in, he's really coming along well and everything is progressing."
