He joined the Thunderbirds in October 2008 and later became their coach.  In October 2011, he joined Mike Brown's player development assistant with the Los Angeles Lakers. He joined the Hawks in 2013.

In 2014 and 2015, He helped lead the Atlanta Hawks to a division title and the 2015 Eastern Conference's top seed. In addition, he flew to Venezuela in June 2011 as a SportsUnited Sports Envoy.
