Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg Eager For First Octagon Bout After Attending Historic UFC 300

UFC 300 had a lot of celebrities in attendance and renewed a lot of interest in the sport once more.

One of those celebs was Meta founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, who has developed a newfound passion for the sport.

He not only watched the action up close, but also mingled with some of the superstars in attendance, such as Israel Adesanya and Kamaru Usman.

But Zuck doesn’t just want to meet fighters at the event; he wants to be one of them. As reported by BroBible, Zuckerberg confirmed that he wants to fight in the UFC one day.

The Meta CEO was with his wife in attendance and was so enthralled by the action that he committed to competing in the sport one day.

Following the event, Zuck took to Instagram, where he had a question-and-answer session with fans. During that time, he explained that he wanted to enter the Octagon once he recovered from a torn ACL.

Zuckerberg tears ACL training for MMA fight

The MMA enthusiast came close to competing in the Octagon when he was supposed to take on SpaceX founder, Elon Musk, in an MMA bout.

The two exchanged messages on social media, but a fight never materialised. While training for the bout, the Facebook founder tore his ACL.

He shared a photo from a hospital bed where he underwent surgery for the injury, The Guardian reported, and thanked the doctors for taking such good care of him.

With his recovery almost complete, Zuck is keen to compete in the cage again.

Zuckerberg moves on from Musk fight

Sports Brief also reported how Zuckerberg had moved on from wanting to fight Musk in a cage.

The two billionaires were scheduled to compete in the Octagon, but the fight never materialised.

Zuckerberg accused Musk of making excuses and eventually decided to move on from their 'beef'.
