Kudakwashe Mahachi is a broken man.

The Zimbabwean international penned an emotional message on his Instagram page, in the wake of his acquittal of attempted murder charges.

The former SuperSport United player was accused of trying to kill his four-year-old child, but was found not guilty, though his quest for justice has drained him financially.

"I have lost everything I have worked for. It was my dream to play football for my country, to serve my country and represent it. As a man, I can no longer feed my family, as all my savings have been depleted in my quest for justice."

Mahachi said that although he had been exonerated, the nightmare he had gone through would never be erased.

"It was only when his septic ulcers exploded that he was rushed to hospital. Once examined, the medical export decided that the condition was spreading so fast his leg would have to be amputated."

The Zimbabwean added that his sisters had been questions about why they had delayed seeking medical help.

"I don’t know if it was out of fear of being charged with negligence, but they proceeded to state that Diego had returned from South Africa in that condition."

Mahachi is currently clubless following his release by Matsatsantsa, and he is currently looking for a team.

Kudakwashe Mahachi appears in court

Kudakwashe Mahachi has found himself in hot water once again, Sports Brief has reported. The Zimbabwean player, who at the time was contracted to SuperSport United until the end of the month, appeared in a Magistrates Court in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in June.

Mahachi was charged with malicious damage to property, after he was accused of snatching away and damaging his sister's iPhone last week.

It's believed that the phone contained vital evidence proving that the player did scald his four-year-old son. Mahachi was accused of abusing his child by his ex-wife Maritha Ndlovu.
