Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho Gaucho has blamed former Super Eagles captain Jay-Jay Okocha for his decision to move to the Premier League in 2002 from Paris Saint-Germain.

At PSG, Okocha and Ronaldinho were teammates and the Brazilian even made it clear that he learnt many football skills from the Nigerian midfielder.

Okocha played with Ronaldinho at Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazilian has now made it clear that the Nigerian's move to Bolton was a waste of talent.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Ronaldinho explained that Okocha should have moved to Spain or Italy.

Statement made by Ronaldinho

“Jay Jay Okocha, wow!! That man made football to listen to him. At training, we would watch him doing a freestyle, whatever he wanted to do, the ball would do it. But his problem is that he was too keen to move to England.
“I didn’t like the decision, at least in Italy or Spain, there, they allow you to play your skilled football without interfering with your play. In La Liga or Serie A, he would definitely get a chance to play for a big team, because they love skilled players over there.''

Okocha’s 1994 music video emerges

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how fans on social media have been left gushing after spotting an old music video of Super Eagles legend Jay-Jay Okocha singing and dancing in a song titled 'I Am J J' which was released in 1994.

Okocha became famous through football owing to his dribbling ability and creativity in the midfield for all the clubs he played for and also in the national team.

However, many never knew that the former Paris Saint-Germain player once ventured into music when he was playing for German giants, Eintracht Frankfurt.
