The Super Eagles camp in Constantine, Algeria, is bubbling as no fewer than eighteen players have arrived ahead of an international friendly against the Fennec Foxes.

Algeria is billed to host Nigeria on September 27, and a number of Jose Peseiro’s players are already in camp ahead of the showdown.

It was confirmed that Hadjuk Split of Croatia defender Chidozie Awaziem was the first player to arrive team’s camp on Monday.

The coming hours saw seventeen more arrivals as the technical crew expressed delight over the punctuality of the stars.

Complete Sports reports that those expected on Tuesday are Kelechi Iheanacho, Ebube Duru, Francis Uzoho and Godwin Saviour.

The three-time African champions Nigeria have another friendly lined up for next month against Portugal.

Okoye, Ekong, Omeruo, Awaziem, Aina, Bassey, Sanusi, Akpoguma, Ozornwafor, Ndidi, Onyeka, Iwobi, Onyedika, Simon, Awoniyi, Ejuke, Dessers, Moffi. Expected: Uzoho, Adebayo, Duru, Saviour, Iheanacho, Lookman.

Injured (Ruled out of the friendly):

Musa, Chukwueze, Leon Balogun, Onyekuru, Dennis.

Replacements:

Ozornwafor, Godwin Saviour, Ebube Duru.

Ahmed Musa suffers a fracture to his left arm

Meanwhile, the captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Ahmed Musa, will not be part of the squad that will face Algeria in an international friendly on September 27.

Musa, who recently joined Turkish club Sivasspor, suffered an injury to his left arm during their 2-1 loss to Ankaragucu in a Turkish Super Lig clash at the weekend.

He was replaced as early as the 19th minute of the encounter as the manager of the side brought on Cameroon winger Clinton N’Jie, who scored Sivasspor’s goal of the game.

Everton prepare a contract extension for Iwobi

Sports Brief earlier reported that Super Eagles of Nigeria midfielder Alex Iwobi has become a very important player for the English Premier League club Everton.

Iwobi is currently in the form of his life and has risen from the fringes to become a key clog in the wheels at Goodison Park.

Everton are initiating a contract extension for the Nigerian international who had struggled under previous bosses, including Marco Silva, Rafa Benitez, and Carlo Ancelotti.
