Jubilation in Super Eagles Camp As Nigerian Star Welcomes Arrival of Bouncing Baby Boy

Super Eagles star Shehu Abdullahi has announced the arrival of his son as the Nigerian international who is in camp for the play-off against Ghana celebrates, Linda Ikeji's Blog reports.

The 29-year-old and his wife, Kannywood star Naja’atu Muhammad Suleiman, welcomed their first child on Thursday, March 24.

The utility player walked down the aisle with Naja'atu in June last year as his international teammate and longtime best friend Ahmed Musa congratulated him.

And now they have welcomed their first child together and it’s a boy. The delighted player wrote on Twitter:

“We are thrilled to announce our baby boy, mother and baby are in good health. We thank Allah! We were blessed with the arrival of our son this morning. We appreciate your prayers.”

It was gathered that Abdulahi was once married to the mother of his children Sumayya Mustapha but they have been through rough patches in the past.

The AC Omonia star won the league title with the Cypriot side last season decided to tie the knot with his partner who has been a Kannywood star since she was ten.

The right-wing back is part of the Super Eagles squad that will prosecute the World Cup play-offs against the Black Stars of Ghana.

Former Ghana goalkeeper Dauda recently welcomes first child

Former Ghana and Orlando Pirates' number one goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda and his wife, have announced the birth of their first child.

The couple, who took to Twitter to introduce the newest member of their family, had a baby boy, after a year of marriage.

The former Ashantigold goalkeeper has been unattached since leaving Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities at the end of last season.

And these days he works as a pundit on Ghana television, GTV Sports Plus, for the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Super Eagles land in Kumasi

Sports Brief earlier reported that the Super Eagles of Nigeria have arrived in Ghana ahead of their first leg World Cup play-off with the Black Stars of Ghana.

Ghana host Nigeria on Friday night at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi and the reverse fixture is billed to hold at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday.

The Nigeria contingent departed from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja aboard a chartered Air Peace aircraft on Thursday morning.
