Former Ghana Goalkeeper Fatau Dauda Welcomes First Baby With Wife

Former Ghana and Orlando Pirates number one goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda and his wife, have announced the birth of their first child.

The couple, who took to Twitter to introduce the newest member of their family, had a baby boy, after a year of marriage.

The former Ashantigold goalkeeper has been unattached since leaving Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities at the end of last season.

And these days he works as a pundit on Ghana television, GTV Sports Plus, for the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Dauda last played for the Black Stars of Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan in Omdurman last year.

Fatau Dauda's football career

Dauda started his career in Ghana in the mid 2000's with Obuasi Ashantigold before earning a big money move to South African giants Orlando Pirates.

He later moved to Chippa United in the Premier Soccer League in South Africa, but returned to Ghana to rejoin Ashantigold. Dauda traveled to Nigeria after helping Ashantigold win the 2015 league to sign for Enyimba.

After his time with the Nigerian powerhouse, he came to Ghana to sign for mega-rich club, Legon Cities, where he played for two seasons.

He played 26 times for the Black Stars of Ghana.

Earlier, reported that, Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda says he would have been haunted together with Asamoah Gyan if Legon Cities had been relegated from the Ghana Premier League.
