The Players Union in Spain is at loggerheads with Huesca over the treatment of Super Eagles midfielder, kelechi Nwankali.
Nwakali has not featured for the Spanish second division team since his return to the club after the African Cup of Nation where he featured for Nigeria.
According to a report via Soccernet, Huesca were irked after the 23-year-old returned to the club late, seven days after the Super Eagles AFCON exit.
Nwakali had explained he fell ill after the tournament which was the reason he returned late to Spain but Huesca is adamant about punishing the midfielder.
The Spanish Players’ Union says Nwakali is being unfairly treated by his club Huesca and has accused the Spanish club of committing procedural breaches in the handling of his case.
Kelechi Nwakali suspended with tough conditions
Meanwhile, Super Eagles midfielder has been reportedly suspended indefinitely by his club side Huesca following a disagreement with the Spanish second division club.
According to Complete Sports, the 23-year-old nearly joined another Segunda Division club Burgos FC in January but the deal fell through due to his late arrival in Spain.
Huesca believes the player intentionally scuppered the deal and has exiled the Super Eagles midfielder from the club’s first team.
Nwakali who is once on the book of Premier League Club Arsenal has made a total of 33 appearances for Huesca.
