Roma boss Jose Mourinho has appeared to hit out at football stars cutting holes in their socks in what has now become a growing trend.

Mourinho's cryptic post

In the wake of the new trend, Mourinho has taken to Instagram to post a string of photos of footballers sporting the famous socks with holes.

The former Premier League manager went on to caption his post with a cryptic message, leaving most of his followers confused.

"Beautiful socks for the Beautiful Game… Approved by the football authorities," the Roma boss said.
