The French side have a health lead in Ligue 1, but failure in the Champions League could put pressure on Christophe Galtier.

The Real Madrid legend was also linked with the French national team job before Didier Deschamps contract was renewed with Les Bleus, Marca reported.

It's important to note that Football Espana also reported a week ago that Zidane could return as Madrid coach for a third time.

Zidane has also won 11 trophies during his time with Los Blancos.

Linking up with Messi

A move to PSG will also see Zidane possibly coach Lionel Messi, assuming the Argentinian extends his contract in France.

Zidane played for Los Blancos between 2001 and 2006, while Messi made his first team debut for the Blaugrana in 2004.

Fans' have their say

The thought of having a proven coach at PSG is enticing for some, but not everyone is happy about the links.

@ChevKC:

"We're good with Galtier. Unless both Zidane and Galtier will agree to working together."

@venxmo:

"He will never be the manager of a farmers league club despite it being in his home country."

@MosesSsegawa:

"With no doubt, Zidane will be PSG coach next year."

@IlyesBerkane1:

"Zidane is a Marseille fan, he would never go to PSG lol."

Zidane settles GOAT debate

Zinedine Zidane is one of football's all-time greats, but he knows a player who is better than him, Sports Brief reported.

The former French legend once weighed in on the 'greatest of all time' debate, and his comments have resurfaced once again.

The former French international was previously asked to pick between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
