Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos celebrated his 33rd birthday in sensational style by paying tribute to NBA star Luka Doncic.

Doncic who plays for Dallas Mavericks posted a new NBA record after scoring a 60-point triple double. The Slovenian scored 60 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists in Dallas' 126-121 overtime victory over the New York Knicks in December.

Celebrating Doncic's achievement, Kroos had a cake designed in the NBA star's jersey with the newest record inscribed beneath it.

Kroos turned 33 on January 4, 2023, has been celebrated by his club and teammates.

The German has been a mainstay in the Los Blancos team since joining from Bayern Munich. Kroos is one of the few players to have won the UEFA Champions League five times, four times with the Spanish giants.

He was part of the German team that won the 2014 FIFA World Cup but retired after Euros 2020.

The former Bayer Leverkusen star's current contract with Real Madrid expires in June but reports suggest he will sign a contract extension in the summer transfer window.

Kroos scores belter against Cardiz

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Toni Kroos grabbed the headlines on Thursday night when he scored a long ranger in Real Madrid's victory over Cadiz.

Los Blancos started the game five points behind league leaders Barcelona and six ahead of third-placed Real Sociedad.

Carlo Ancelotti's men had to win the game to cut the distance ahead of them and maintain the breathing space behind.

Modric who has played alongside Kroos for eight years at Real Madrid, went on social media platform Instagram to wish the German midfielder a happy birthday.
