Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema has encouraged his France teammates to go for the ultimate ahead of the final of the World Cup against Argentina.
Benzema had the chance to join the team in Doha but decided to stay away after recovering from injury late in the tournament.
Despite his absence, the Ballon d'Or winner will get a winners medal should Les Blues end up champions of the world.
In a message shared on social media, Benzema sent a goodwill note to the French team, who are preparing for the final at the Lusail stadium.

"It's time, all together, let's go. Vamonos. Come on Les Blues," he wrote on Twitter.
Both countries are looking at winning the tournament for the third time. France will defend the title they won for the second time four years ago if they defeat Argentina.
However, the South Americans will win the World Cup for the first time since 1986 if they dethrone the holders.
Why Benzema failed to join France
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that a rift has been reported between Karim Benzema and France Head Coach Didier Deschamps even as the defending champions prepare to face Argentina in the 2022 World Cup final.
Benzema was part of Deschamps' final squad to Qatar but had to return to Madrid after picking up a thigh injury. He has since recovered and could have been eligible to play on Sunday, December 18th. Karim Benzema and France boss Didier Deschamps.

FootballGFF now reports that Benzema was unhappy with how he was treated when he got that injury. The Real Madrid captain reportedly wanted to hang around in Qatar and given a chance to recover to have a shot at playing but Deschamps sent him home.
