Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed he will follow the soon-to-start 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar keenly.

Ancelotti, who is Italian by birth, disclosed the heavy involvement of his players will leave him with no option but to monitor their progress and performance at the Mundial.

The revered tactician has in excess of 10 players featuring at the World Cup with Karim Benzema of France, Luka Modric of Croatia and Vinicius Junior headlining the Real Madrid contingent in the 22nd edition of the global showpiece.

When quizzed on the country he will be supporting during the month-long football festival, the 63-year-old tactician, whose country of birth narrowly missed out on the event, revealed he will throw his weight behind a host of countries.

"The World Cup? Of course, I'll watch the games. I'll support Brazil, Croatia, Spain, France, Uruguay, Germany... I'll cheer for my players." Ancelotti said as quoted by MadridXtra.

Ancelotti's Real Madrid will be represented by 13 players at the World Cup in Qatar, which kicks start on Sunday, November 20, as noted by Madridistanews.

Ancelotti names greatest strikers

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has named Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the greatest strikers he has worked with during his record-breaking career.

Ancelotti worked with the Portugues captain at the Santiago Bernabeu for two years, between 2013 and 2015, winning the Champions League and Copa del Rey.

Ronaldo notched 112 goals in 101 outings under Ancelotti's tutelage and won the Ballon d'Or in the process.
