Eder Militao has filed a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend Karoline Lima, Google & Facebook over defamation on social media.

The Real Madrid defender split up with the beautiful Brazilian model just days before she gave birth to their daughter Cecilia in July.

The pair decided to end their relationship after they realized it was not going to work for them, per Daily Star.

And now according to Brazilian portal UOLEsporte, Militao has dragged Karoline to court for defamation on social networks.

The Brazilian defender is reportedly suffering constant abuse, insults and verbal attacks from the followers of her former lover after their breakup.

The report further states that the centre-back has already submitted a petition for urgent guardianship of an injunction asking his ex-girlfriend from posting disparaging remarks about him on social media

Social media networks Facebook and Google are reportedly also named in the lawsuit, with the Champions League winner demanding staggering $45,000 compensation.

Eder Militao on the pitch however has been an outstanding success story for Real Madrid as he helped the Spanish giants reclaim the La Liga title and also played a key role as Los Blancos won a record-extending 14th UEFA Champions League crown.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Spanish giants Real Madrid will not be able to count on Eder Militao for the La Liga match against Real Mallorca on Sunday.

The Brazil international picked up what has been described as a light muscle injury by Diario AS during their UEFA Champions League clash against Celtic on Tuesday, September 6.

The centre-back will now join captain Karim Benzema, who also suffered an injury in their 3-0 win in Glasgow, on the treatment table.
