  • Neymar Jr is prepared to give it his all for Paris Saint-Germain in the second half of the 2022-23 season

  • The Brazilian is set to return for PSG when the Parisians take on Marseille in the Coupe de France later on Wednesday

Neymar has a point to prove to all his doubters as Paris Saint-Germain enters the business phase of the season after the Brazilian’s motivation to succeed was recently questioned.

The 31-year-old has suffered a dip in form since returning from the World Cup, scoring just once in five games for PSG and has also battled with injuries.

Neymar is expected to partner Lionel Messi in the PSG attack as the French giants welcome the Brazilian back to the first team when they take on rivals Olympique Marseille in the Coupe de France on Wednesday, February 8.

The Brazilian is also expected to play a huge role for PSG when the Champions League returns on February 14 when the Parisians will host Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the round of 16 first leg.

Neymar reluctant to mend bridges

Meanwhile, Neymar has shown “no desire” to build bridges with PSG fans following a breakdown in their relationship, claims the president of an Ultras group, Goal reports.

The Brazil international had come under heavy criticism from the Ultras after expressing a desire to leave Parc des Princes and return to Barcelona in the past.

Neymar, who has hit 117 goals for PSG through 169 appearances, is now tied to a contract through to 2025 and will be hoping to deliver a long-awaited Champions League crown to the French capital.

Neymar tagged biggest diver in football

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar could risk getting banned for up to three matches if he gets caught diving in football matches in the future.

That’s the law being proposed by two former referees who believe FIFA and football authorities should clamp down harder on players who are found guilty of simulation.

Des Roache has claimed that footballers should get a three-match ban while Steve Conroy has called out PSG superstar Neymar as the biggest diver in the game.
