Have Nurmagomedov and Seedorf teamed up before?
Despite the difference in the sporting worlds in which they come from, Nurmagomedov and Seedorf happen to be business partners. The duo started a football management agency and a football academy, SportBible reported.
The academy is known as the Seedorf Khabib Performance Club. The training methodology combines football and mixed martial arts.
As noted by Sportskeeda, the duo also opened an MMA-integrated soccer school in Toronto, Canada earlier this year.
Pressure mounts on Qatar as Paris vows to not show World Cup games
In other news regarding the World Cup, Sports Brief reported that the 2022 FIFA World Cup will not be shown on giant screens at fan zones in Paris, despite France heading to the tournament as defending champions.
The decision by the French capital was based on reports that thousands of migrant workers have died and others maltreated during preparations for the tournament in the Asian country.
According to the Deputy Mayor of Paris and the official responsible for sports, Pierre Rabadan, the conditions of preparing for the tournament by Qatar went against social and environmental ethics.
