Ferdinand was among those who were thoroughly critical of Antony, as the former United defender did not hold back in pointing out what he felt was the issue.

"The concerning thing for me with somebody like Antony is that he can't beat anyone – and for a Brazilian that's surprising," Ferdinand said on his FIVE show.
‘He just doesn’t beat anyone and I’m sitting there thinking, “Was that always the way?”

Ferdinand went on to admit Antony was a ‘tricky’ winger, but still needed to have the ability to beat a man, especially in a one-on-one situation.

Ten Hag critical of his players

After the defeat, United boss Erik Ten Hag was also not happy with his players, but for a different reason to Ferdinand’s.

The United boss berated his side’s defending, saying his side needed to change their mentality if they were to compete for trophies.

'It's not possible you are in a top game, you're making three such big mistakes where you concede goals. Especially the last goal, you have to feel the game on that point. " He said as quoted on Manchester Evening News.

Rashford’s message after Arsenal defeat

After the Arsenal defeat, the in-form Marcus Rashford took to social media with a positive message about his side.

In a post shared on his Twitter feed, the Man United attacker admitted he was heartbroken with the result but urged his teammates to keep moving forward.

United's defeat saw them miss out on a golden chance to climb to third, which would have placed them within just five points of leaders, Arsenal.
