Man United boss Erik ten Hag has reacted to his side's defeat to Arsenal with a fiery warning to his charges.

The Red Devils were silenced 3-2 by the Gunners in a thrilling Premier League clash played at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, January 22.

Eddie Nketiah was Arsenal's match hero as he scored two goals, including the winner in stoppage time as Mikel Arteta's men stormed to a crucial win at home.

Ten Hag warns Man United stars

Speaking after the match, Ten Hag claimed that his wards did not have the right mentality to see off the match at the Emirates.

A furious Ten Hag revealed he let rip at his squad in the dressing room shortly after the final whistle.

The Dutchman was particularly aggrieved with Arsenal's winner, which was scored in stoppage time by Nketiah.

“I am annoyed and I told the players if you want to win titles and medals, you have to change the mentality. You are in a top game and you are making such big mistakes," The Sun quoted Ten Hag saying.
“You cannot give such a goal away as we did or you can’t win trophies," he added.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Lionel Messi has received backing from Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag as the best player in the world.

Ten Hag had a bitter fallout with Messi's rival Cristiano Ronaldo before the start of the World Cup last year.

Ronaldo mentioned categorically he did not respect the former Ajax head coach.
