His torrid run of form has seen a section of fans call on the club to strip him of the captaincy, with others demanding he is sold this summer.

Erik ten Hag ready to help Harry Maguire rediscover his form

Reports now suggest United fans will have to contend with another season with Maguire as Ten Hag is keen to help him rediscover his form.

Metro UK claims the Dutchman is even ready to switch Maguire’s usual position in a desperate bid to help him save his United career.

The England international is currently playing on the left at the heart of United's defence, but Ten Hag reportedly feels moving him to the right could help him thrive.

The development comes at a time the former Leicester City defender is battling a knee injury that could keep him out for the rest of the season.

Maguire had to settle for a place on the bench during United's trip to Arsenal and went on to miss subsequent matches against Chelsea and Brentford.

Rangnick discloses Ronaldo is not leaving Man United

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has revealed Cristiano Ronaldo will not be leaving the club as projected.

According to the tactician, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will remain at the club beyond this season.

Ronaldo, who has a year left on his current deal at the club has widely been linked with a summer exit.
