Manchester United could be without as many as six first-team players when they host Chelsea for a Premier League meeting on Thursday night, April 28.

The mouthwatering clash comes at a time the Red Devils are struggling for form, having lost two of their most recent outings to suffer a huge blow in their hopes to secure Champions League football.

Ralf Rangnick's charges previously suffered a 4-0 humiliating defeat against Liverpool at Anfield before they followed up the result with another 3-1 loss during their trip to the Emirates to face Arsenal.

The development was confirmed by interim boss, Ralf Rangnick, who said:

"Paul obviously, Fred, Edinson, Luke Shaw and Jadon – Jadon is ill, he has tonsillitis since yesterday, couldn’t train today and will also be not available tomorrow," Metro UK quoted the Germany tactician saying.
