Ronaldo has been a subject of transfer speculation just a season after he rejoined United from Juventus.

Reports suggest the five-time Ballon d'Or winner could depart Old Trafford at the end of the season for a move elsewhere.

Real Madrid are believed to be the leading side keeping tabs on Ronaldo's situation at United, with the La Liga giants reportedly keen on a reunion with their former star.

However, Rangnick has given the clearest indication the veteran striker will be at the Theatre of Dreams next season.

Speaking after his side's 3-0 thrilling win over Brentford on Monday night, May 2, the German tactician revealed United are keen to have Ronaldo next season.

"I don't think why it should be a wave of goodbye," Rangnick said when asked if Ronaldo's lap of honour at Old Trafford was goodbye to the fans.
"He's got another year of [his] contract. And as far as I know, he will be here next season again," he added.

Cristiano Ronaldo's hot form at Man United

Despite Man United's struggles this term across competitions, Ronaldo has been the standout player at the club.

The 37-year-old has already notched 23 goals since his return, with 18 of those coming in the Premier League.

Sports Brief earlier reported the Portuguese has scored in each of United's last three matches, including against Brentford on Monday night.

Bruno Fernandes and Raphael Varane were also on target as the Red Devils demolished the Bees 3-0.
