Mamelodi Sundowns Recalls Red Hot Striker Abubeker Nasir Ahmed From Ethiopian Coffee

Mamelodi Sundowns have ensured that they are in the best position to ensure their continued dominance of local football with their activities on the transfer market.

The club has called the impressive striker Abubeker Nasir Ahmed back on loan from the Ethiopian Premier League side Ethiopia Coffee. Masandawana signed Nasir Ahmed during the January transfer window to have dibs on him, before sending him back to East Africa.

According to Kick Off, scored his fourteenth goal of the season on Monday as Ethiopia Coffee drew 1-1 with Addis Ababa Ketema. Last season the 22-year-old forward was the league’s top scorer with 29 goals and was also named the Best Young Player and Most Valuable Player.

Coffee chairman Fekade Mamo told the publication:

"It will be very difficult to replace him, but we must live with that reality. For now, we have to try and find other options from other clubs or even in the lower divisions, but it will be very difficult to replace Abubeker. He is going back to Sundowns in June as per the agreement that we had with them at the beginning of the year.
"We have already agreed on the deal, and it has been done according to the agreement with no further communication from Sundowns. The transactions that had to go through have been done and the players belong to Mamelodi Sundowns. This is the biggest transfer in the history of the club."

This was Sundowns second bit of transfer business thus far, having signed the highly rated Sipho Mbule earlier this month, as per IOL. George Maluleka is the only departure from the club thus far in the off-season

Kaizer Chiefs sign midfielder Yusuf Maart, release defenders Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Siphosakhe Ntiya Ntiya

Kaizer Chiefs have signed Yusuf Moegamat Maart on a three-year deal with a two-year option.

As reported by Sports Brief, the 26-year-old midfielder, a former Orlando Pirates youth player, Maart arrives from Sekhukhune FC where he spent two seasons in the GladAfrica Championship and DStv Premiership.

He played a total of 29 matches in the season that has just ended and scored three goals for Babina Noko.
