- A poll conducted by SPORTbible shows how football fans voted Jurgen Klopp’s side as the most hated in the English topflight
Following comments by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola who claimed everyone in England wants Liverpool to win the Premier League title, fans have had their say.
The Spanish manager claimed that everyone, as well as the media, is in support of rivals Liverpool as the Premier League title race enters the final lap.
Guardiola made petty allegations against Jurgen Klopp’s side after Man City defeated Newcastle United earlier this month as they extended their lead on the standings.
And Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel also buttressed Guardiola’s points in his remarks ahead of their FA Cup final against Jurgen Klopp’s side. Tuchel said as per SunSport:
"I can understand why he [Guardiola] has that feeling. In general, I would say it is hard to really argue with it.
"I did not say I agree 100 per cent but I can see. There is huge sympathy for Liverpool in the country."
UK outlet SPORTbible took to Twitter to organise a poll and allow fans to vote for their favourite teams in the English topflight.
Results show that Liverpool is the most hated club in the Premier League over Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Statistics show that 41.6 per cent of the readers voted the Anfield side as their most hated club out of the four.
United were the next highest with 35.1 per cent, with Chelsea third with 14.3 per cent. Meanwhile, just nine per cent of readers voted Arsenal as their most hated club.
Luis Diaz celebrates FA Cup final MOTM award
Meanwhile, Colombia attacker Luis Fernando Diaz celebrated his man-of-the-match performance after Liverpool edged Chelsea in the 2021-22 Emirates FA Cup finals on Saturday afternoon.
The January signing proved pivotal in Liverpool's triumph with his showstopping display against Chelsea.
Despite not getting on the scoresheet and being withdrawn in the first half of extra time for Roberto Firmino, Diaz's total output on the field did not go unnoticed.
Chelsea told to sign Lautaro Martinez
Sports Brief earlier reported that former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has advised Thomas Tuchel to move in for Lautaro Martinez, instead of Robert Lewandowski.
Reports have circulated that Chelsea is set to rival Barcelona and convince Lewandowski to make the switch to Stamford Bridge. Cascarino believes that the arrival of Martinez could help Lukaku return to his top form.
The two complemented each other at Inter Milan to devastating effects. They were the main strikers of Antonio Conte as Inter Milan won the Serie A title.
