Roberto Firmino has been ruled out of Liverpool's Champions League second leg encounter against Villarreal which will be played on Tuesday night, May 3, in Spain.

Having won the first leg 2-0 at Anfield, Liverpool players will be going into this second leg against Villarreal with boosted morale and will want to reach the final of the Champions League.

There is no doubt about the fact that Liverpool squad have been a strong side this season as they are still fighting for three titles this season after winning the Carabao Cup.

Although Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino did not score in the first leg against Villarreal, but the forward was impressive in the Champions League tie.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Liverpool stated that Roberto Firmino will travel with the team to Spain, but will not feature in the encounter.

“Roberto Firmino will miss the second leg of Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final with Villarreal, but Divock Origi is expected to be available.
“Firmino continues to make encouraging progress with the foot injury he picked up at Wembley last month in the Emirates FA Cup victory over Manchester City.''

Mohamed Salah makes new Liverpool contract claim ahead of summer transfer

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Mohamed Salah explained that his contract issues with those in charge of Premier League side Liverpool is not about money alone stressing that he is committed to the Reds.

After spending a year at Roma, Mohamed Salah moved to Liverpool in 2017 and the Egypt international has scored 155 goals in 245 appearances for the Reds.
