  • Percy Tau and Luis Miquissone were signed by Pitso Mosimane, and both are unsure of their futures after he left

A player handpicked by Pitso Mosimane himself could be headed to the Naturena.

It’s understood that Miquissone is deemed surplus to requirements at Al Ahly and the Egyptian side are willing to sell the player or let him out on loan.

The Amakhosi have hinted at bringing in more players before the new season started and are reportedly interested in Miquissone, a source told the publication.

“Kaizer Chiefs are said to be interested in him after he was offered to them and Al Ahly are open to the idea of selling him to them,” said the source.

Miquissone’s former side, Simba SC, are also believed to be looking at the possibility of bringing the player back to Tanzania.

Football journalist @MickeyJnr reported that Simba will contact Al Ahly next week to discuss a move for Miquissone.

Percy Tau, another of Mosimane’s signings, is also said to be unsettled after the South African coach left and could be departing the club as well.

Egypt's Al Ahly could release Percy Tau due to mounting concerns over the South African's numerous injuries

Percy Tau’s days in Egypt could be numbered.

The South African’s future at Al Ahly was in doubt after Pitso Mosimane left the club, but it’s his injury record that could be his downfall.

The South African has suffered six injuries since signing for the Egyptian side in August 2021.

Former Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane accused of treating players "unfairly" at the club, showing favouritism

Pitso Mosimane's sudden departure from Al Ahly continues to reverberate through Egyptian football with opinions coming from all corners.

This time, veteran coach in the Egyptian Premier League Mohamed Omar believes that the 57-year-old showed favouritism towards certain players over others, which led to the changeroom possibly splitting.

"Luis Miquissone hasn't shown good performances with Al Ahly yet, despite that, Mosimane always gave him chances," Omar said.
