With Arthur Zwane still on the sidelines at Kaizer Chiefs, the future is uncertain for the Amakosi’s Assistant Manager.

Fans have often commented that Zwane looks out of place on the technical team bench and that coach Stuart Baxter doesn’t even ask for his opinions.

While fans also called for Baxter to be fired and for Zwane to replace him, Zwane may find that his future lies away from the Naturena, if recent reports are to be believed.

The Citizen has reported that Pitso Mosimane is considering hiring Zwane as his assistant coach at Al Ahly. Pitso does not have an assistant since Calvin Johnson left the Egyptian giants. Pitso is currently waiting for permission from Al Ahly management to appoint a new assistant.

Closer to home, AmaZulu are also reported to have shown interest in Zwane’s signature. AmaZulu recently parted ways with Benni McCarthy and have appointed Brandon Truter as an interim coach until a replacement is found.

Both Stuart Baxter and Arthur Zwane have been linked with the post depending on how things pan out at the Amakhosi, The South African reported. Rumours have also done the rounds that McCarthy could be heading the other way, taking over at the Soweto giants.

The local footballing community is still coming to terms with the news that AmaZulu had parted ways with Benni McCarthy. AmaZulu owner, Sandile Zungu, explained that the club needed a change, Sports Brief earlier reported,

Following his exit, the Usuthu were quick to be linked with replacements, some names which may surprise many. Soccer Laduma reported that insiders at the club noted that AmaZulu management were monitoring the situation of Stuart Baxter and Arthur Zwane as well.

Baxter’s position at Naturena is under severe threat as well due to the Amakhosi’s performances this season. McCarthy on the other hand has been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates, The South African reported.
