Chelsea forward Timo Werner has been linked with a sensational summer move to Juventus.

The Italian giants have been active in the ongoing window, with the club adding Paul Pogba, Angel Di Maria, and Gleison Bremer.

However, Juvefc.com reports that the Old Lady could now shift their focus to strengthening other areas of the team, with the striking department a top priority.

It is understood that Juve's decision to part ways with Alvaro Morata has increased the need for the club to sign a prolific striker.

Morata has spent the last two seasons on loan at the Allianz Stadium, with the Spaniard becoming an important squad member of the Bianconeri team.

However, the Serie A giants failed to reach an agreement with Atletico Madrid over the permanent transfer of the forward, leading to his return to the Spanish club.

Timo Werner linked with Juve move

Tuttojuve now claims that Juventus have plans to recruit Timo Werner this summer.

The development comes at a time the German forward has struggled for form at Stamford Bridge since his arrival from RB Leipzig.

Werner has already hinted about his desire to quit the west London club in a bid to rediscover his spark.

His exit would see him join an array of senior players who have departed the Blues this summer, including Antonio Rudiger, who joined Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Manchester United's pursuit of Frenkie de Jong has been dealt a huge blow after Chelsea joined the race for the Barcelona star.

The Blues are said to be eyeing a move for the Netherlands international who has widely been linked with a move to Old Trafford.

The Thomas Tuchel-tutored side are reportedly willing to offer Barcelona the duo of Azpilicueta and Alonso to sweeten the deal.
