Black Galaxies captain, Gladson Awako has returned to training after an injury scare during Ghana's friendly against Algeria.
The Hearts of Oak midfielder was substituted after 25 minutes, following a knock in the game against the CHAN 2022 hosts.
The experienced playmaker joined practice on Monday, although he was involved in a lighter training session.
In photos shared on social media, the former TP Mezembe star is seen going through routine drills, as he works on his fitness ahead of Ghana's opener.

Awako is expected to be available for the game against Madagascar on January 15, 2023, as the Black Galaxies begin their journey at the CHAN tournament this year.
The West African giants will also play Morocco and Sudan in Group C, in their return to the competition after missing the last three editions.
Despite making the finals twice, in 2009 and 2014, the team is yet to win the tournament reserved for home-based players from their respective countries.
The Black Galaxies arrived in Algeria on Saturday after a two-week camp in Egypt, where they played the U20 teams of the Pharaohs and Al-Ahly in friendlies.
Ghana's FA confirmed via its website that the team would face Mozambique in a final preparatory game on Tuesday, before the tournament kicks off on January 13.
Awako suffers knock in friendly
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that the captain of Black Galaxies, Awako suffered a knock which could have ruled him out of Ghana's opening game at the CHAN tournament against Madagascar.

Awako was withdrawn from the game after just 25 minutes and was replaced by Sylvester Simba, as Ghana held Algeria to a goalless draw.

Former Black Stars goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda backings Ghana's home-based team to win the upcoming CHAN tournament in Algeria.
The Black Galaxies, as they are known, are making a return to the competition after edging out Nigeria in the qualifiers.
The two-time finalists of the tournament, Ghana have been drawn in Group C alongside defending champions Morocco, newcomers Madagascar and Sudan.
