Muntari was part of Ghana's team that reached the quarter-final of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The then Inter Milan midfielder scored the opener against Uruguay, as Ghana bowed out of the tournament.

The Ghana Football Association meanwhile, led by Kurt Okraku, paid a visit to the national mosque last Friday to offer prayers for the team. The act was repeated on Sunday when the GFA attended the Most Holy Trinity Cathedral Church in Accra for Christian prayers for the team.

The former Inter Milan player was sacked from the camp at the World Cup in Brazil over disciplinary issues.

The ex-Hearts of Oak midfielder revealed he felt remorseful after the incident and has since been looking for Parker to beg for his forgiveness.
