Otto Addo does not expect a tough challenge from Nicaragua ahead of the Black Stars friendly encounter against the South Americans.

Ghana will engage Nicaragua in Lorca, Spain as part of preparations ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Ahead of the game on Tuesday evening, Otto Addo revealed Nicaragua wont be as tough as Brazil.

“It’s another good test match for us, just to find each other the patterns, prime connections and we are happy to be here to play an opponent like Nicaragua,” he said, as quoted by Pulse.

“We hopefully can try a lot of things. I don’t think it will be as tough as the match against Brazil but it’s a different tough opponent because they have proved in previous games that they can harm other teams so it’s going to be interesting," he added.

Ghana lost to Brazil 3-0 last Friday after a first half romp by the Selacaos. Richarlison netted a brace to add to Marquinhos' early header as Brazil cruised to victory.

The Black Stars will use the Nicaragua game to test players who were not involved in the Brazil match.

Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer, Stephan Ambrosius, Alidu Seidu and Gideon Mensah are all expected to star against Nicaragua.

Ghana captain Andre Ayew insists only senior players are guaranteed World Cup spot

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Andre Ayew insists no player is guaranteed a place in the World Cup squad unless you are a senior member of the Black Stars.

The Black Stars captain and his teammates are in Spain preparing to face Nicaragua in their penultimate friendly before the World Cup.

Coach Otto Addo will name his squad for the World Cup in November after fully assessing his players with the friendlies lined up for the team.
