Black Stars winger, Joseph Painstil, crowned a magnificent performance for KRC Genk against KAS Eupen with the Man of the Match award.

The 24-year-old scored a brace as KRC Genk defeated KAS Eupen 4-2 on Saturday in the Belgium topflight league.

After the game, he was adjudged the best player as Genk collected their first three points at home in the new season.

Joseph Painstil had a blistering start to the game after breaking the deadlock just three minutes into the match. He doubled his tally and Genk's lead six minutes later.

But the visitors pulled one back through Smail Prevljak in the 32nd minute but Genk restored their two goal lead immediately through Patrik Hrosovsky.

After the break, KAS Eupen pulled one back through Regan Charles-Cook, but Genk added another in injury time through Mike Tresor Ndayishimiye.

Painstil's compatriots Isaac Nuhu and Manaf Nurudeen featured for KAS Eupen.

Ghana forward Osman Bukari nets hat-trick in Red Star Belgrade's UCL victory

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Black Stars forward, Osman Bukari, was in phenomenal form for Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night against Pyunik.

The Ghana international netted a hat-trick as the Serbian champions thrashed Pyunik 5-0 to take a huge first leg advantage.

Bukari, who joined the Red Star in the summer transfer window, has now scored five goals in five games for the Serbians.

Ghana to play Switzerland in friendly before World Cup in Qatar

Ghana will play European country Switzerland in a pre-World Cup friendly in November in Doha.

The four times African champions will test their strength against the Euro 2020 quarter-finalist on November 17th at the Baniyas Club Stadium.

The Ghana Football Association confirmed the international friendly on their official website.
