The Black Stars of Ghana have landed in Abuja ahead of the blockbuster second leg of the World Cup play-off against Nigeria.

The Super Eagles will host the Black Stars at the 60,000 capacity Mashood Abiola stadium, with a place in the World Cup in Qatar at stake.

In photos posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the team is seen arriving at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

The Black Stars will immediately move to their hotel, before later training at the Mashood Abiola stadium.

Ghana were held at home by the Super Eagles in the first leg at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi, but they have it all to fight for in Abuja.

Nigeria is chasing a seventh appearance at the global showpiece while Ghana want a return to the tournament after missing Russia 2018.

Black Stars leave Ghana for Abuja

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that the Black Stars of Ghana jetted off to Abuja on Monday morning ahead of the second-leg encounter with Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana and the Super Eagles will have another 90 minutes to decide which team qualifies for the World Cup after a 0-0 stalemate in the first leg of the play-offs in Kumasi on Friday.

In photos posted on Twitter, the Ghanaian contingent, led by coach Otto Addo, departed the Kumasi airport to Abuja to prepare for the reverse fixture on Tuesday, 29th March.

VAR installed at Mashood Abiola stadium

Nigeria's all-important World Cup play-off second leg against the Black Stars of Ghana will be played under Video Assistant Referee (VAR) supervision.

The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed the VAR will be fully installed at the Moshood Abiola Stadium before the reverse game against Ghana on Tuesday, March 29.

According to a report via Pulse Sports, spokesperson to the Minister of Sports, Kola Daniel revealed that the VAR is already being installed at the stadium.
