Chelsea Defender Completes Summer Move to French Ligue 1

Chelsea defender Malang Sarr has sealed a stunning move to AS Monaco on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.
Malang was initially projected to join Chelsea's west London rivals Fulham but snubbed the move.
According to Metro UK, the 23-year-old was only keen on a return to the French Ligue 1, having previously turned out for Nice before he joined the Blues in 2020.
Sarr's move to Monaco came after he failed to break into Chelsea's first team, with the Frenchman rarely utilised during his time at the club.

The ex-Nice center-back managed just 21 appearances under Thomas Tuchel last term, with the arrivals of Marc Cucurella and Kalidou Koulibaly further complicating his position at Stamford Bridge.
Malang Sarr excited after Stamford Bridge exit
Sarr has expressed his excitement after sealing his Stamford Bridge exit, albeit temporarily.
Speaking after his Monaco switch, the centre-back thanked the French club for showing confidence in him.
"I am very happy to join AS Monaco and to be back in Ligue 1, a league in which I started and which I know well," Sarr told Monaco’s website.
"I would like to thank the club for its confidence [in me]. I am now looking forward to blending in with my new surroundings," he added.
Granit Xhaka on why he stayed at Arsenal
Elsewhere, Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka recently opened up in a brutally honest interview on his decision to stay with the club in 2019 when it looked like his fallout with fans was the last straw.
