  • Chelsea were forced to 2-2 draw by Wolves in their last Premier League game played at Stamford Bridge
  • The Blues are still hopeful of finishing among the top four this season even though Arsenal pile pressure on them for 3rd position
  • Tuchel explained that he is unperturbed if his managerial methods cause some of his players to hate him

Thomas Tuchel who is in charge of Premier League side Chelsea has stated clearly that he doesn't care if his styles of coaching is not being liked by some players adding that they must abide.

This comes after the German gaffer forced all Chelsea players to train on Sunday, 8 May, which was their expected day off after playing 2-2 draw at home against Wolves.

Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku scored the two goals for Chelsea against Wolves, but Thomas Tuchel was not happy with how his players allowed the visitors to come back into the game and left Stamford Bridge with a point.

According to the report on GOAL, Thomas Tuchel explained that he had many times also sacrificed his free Sundays.

Thomas Tuchel's reaction about Chelsea players

“If you want to be loved on a daily basis you should not become a high level football coach. It will not happen. At this moment I’m probably not popular. Most of them expected a 30 minute team talk and then to watch the game again. Once they understood why they were in and the weather was fine most of them accepted it.

“I need a free day - because I also cancelled my free Sunday! I also had some plans on Sunday morning and they were cancelled. But this happens. There was even an Under-23s game at 1 p.m., and two thirds of the team stayed and watched it. Nobody was getting in their car and getting away. They take their responsibility, and that is what I love about the team.''

Chelsea left in panic mode as impressive defender signs contract with Spanish giants Real Madrid

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how impressive Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger officially signed a four-year contract to join Spanish club Real Madrid after completing his medical on Tuesday.

The German centre-back whose contract at the Stamford Bridge ends in June has sealed a move to join Los Blancos through his agents and is expected to arrive at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on a free transfer.

Marca understands that Rudiger’s move to the La Liga outfit is not yet official as the club is expected to make an announcement after the Champions League final on May 28.

An announcement is expected to be made the following week after the game in Paris before the player joins his national teammates as they prepare for the Nations League.
