The German centre-back whose contract at the Stamford Bridge ends in June has sealed a move to join Los Blancos through his agents and is expected to arrive at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on a free transfer.

An announcement is expected to be made the following week after the game in Paris before the player joins his national teammates as they prepare for the Nations League.

Earlier reports had it that Rudiger already reached an agreement with Real Madrid and the few details were finalised on Tuesday, GOAL reports.

Real Madrid were earlier forced to distance themselves from the German international due to his staggering wage demands, but they were able to negotiate after the centre-back relented on his salary demands and a deal was reached.

With Rudiger and Militao as centre-backs, David Alaba can also play at left-back, a position he already occupied at Bayern Munich.

Harry Maguire on the radar of Chelsea Football Club

Meanwhile, Chelsea are reportedly interested in the signing of Manchester United flop, Harry Maguire, this summer.

The Blues are expected to add reinforcements to their defence during the upcoming transfer window, with a number of defenders expected to depart the club.

Antonio Rudiger headlines a host of Chelsea defenders set to quit the club in the coming days after he reportedly reached a deal to join Real Madrid.

Other players in the backline facing an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge include club captain, Cesar Azpilicueta, and Andreas Christensen who is expected to join Barcelona.

Mass exodus looms at Barcelona

Sports Brief earlier reported that Barcelona are set for a massive summer clear-out as Xavi embarks on rebuilding the club with new signings.

Xavi has not hidden his desire to bring in new legs who can help him challenge Real Madrid for the La Liga title next season.

Barcelona will need to sell a number of their players in order to raise significant funds to supplement their transfer kitty.
