Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has dominated the headlines in the ongoing summer transfer window as he pushes for a Manchester United exit.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been linked with Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid in recent weeks as he reportedly prefers a club that plays in the Champions League.

But it seems Ronaldo's options have been reduced to a single club: Bayern Munich.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, some players from the German champions have begun to follow Ronaldo on Instagram.

The report states that Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané, Marcel Sabitzer, Jamal Musiala, Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry, Joshua Kimmich and Ryan Gravenberch are the ones now connected to the former Real Madrid superstar.

A fact that has been taken as the beginning of what could be a closer relationship, eventually, in the changing rooms of the Allianz Arena.

Meanwhile, CBS reports that football agent Jorge Mendes is making it abundantly clear to clubs that they will not have to match Ronaldo’s astronomical wage bill.

As part of his bargaining chip, the super agent has told clubs that his client is willing to take a a 30% wage cut, although that would still mean paying him a massive £ 300,000 a week.

Atletico Madrid became the latest club to be linked with Ronaldo, although it was reported by Sport that the La Liga giants could not afford his hefty wages.

Since then, numerous clubs have been linked with his signature, but all have turned him down. The latest club rumoured to be keen on Ronaldo’s signature is Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid.
