Barcelona have not given up in their quest to get Frenkie de Jong to accept a salary cut, Sports Brief earlier reported.
The Blaugrana have been forcing the Dutch international to accept a new deal with a reduced wage since the transfer window.
At that stage, Barca gave de Jong two choices; either to join Manchester United or remain with Barcelona and agree to a reduced salary. De Jong chose to stay at the club but refused to accept a wage cut.
