While that is disappointing for any Blaugrana fan to think about, Robert Lewandowski believes that the best is yet to come for the team.

Speaking ahead of their upcoming tie, the Polish striker pleaded with fans to be patient as there was a rebuilding process taking place at the club, Goal reported.

"We are in the process of rebuilding, which takes time. We must be patient. I’m sure these setbacks will make us grow as a team and that everything will be different next season. We are evolving,” Lewandowski said.

The striker added that he obviously wasn’t happy that the team were eliminated from the tournament, but knew it would be a difficult first season.

“I wasn’t expecting to arrive and that everything would go well in season one. It is a process that requires time and patience."

While the Champions League campaign didn’t go to plan, Barcelona are enjoying a much better time in La Liga. The Catalan club are just a point behind leaders Real Madrid after 12 games played.
