As reported by Football España, Fati has told his agent Jorge Mendes that he would be willing to leave if the situation didn't change.

Fati's limited playing time

Despite being immensely talented, Fati has struggled for game time this season. As noted by Transfermarkt, he's made 11 appearances in La Liga, but only two of those were as a starter. The other 9 appearances were as a substitute.

In the Champions League, he's made appearances in all five of the team's games so far but only started one of those. The most he's been on the field for Barca in the tournament is just 65 minutes.

Are Barcelona worried?

Xavi's side are said to be unconcerned by Fati's threats to leave, as the youngster is contracted to the club until 2027. He also has a release clause of €1 billion, effectively ruling out any chance of a team luring him away.

Luis Enrique explains the reason for dropping Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati from the Spain squad

Ansu will not be part of Spain’s squad to tackle Switzerland and Portugal in the Nations League, after the Barcelona star was dropped by Luis Enrique from his 25-man list.

The 19-year-old forward has scored two goals and created two assists for Barcelona so far this season, but his performances for Barcelona were not enough to earn him a place in the Spain squad.

Spain’s manager, Luis Enrique has now blamed Fati’s lack of starting games for the Catalan giants as the reason for dropping the teenager, Sports Brief reported.
