Robert Lewandowski has finally parted ways with German giants Bayern Munich and is set to join FC Barcelona.

The 33-year-old had just a year left on his contract with the German side but had not been shy about expressing his desire to leave the Bundesliga champions.

Bayern and the Catalan club have reportedly agreed on a €50 million transfer fee for the services the former Dortmund hitman.

Spanish journalist Gerard Romero has revealed the contract details of Lewandowski's deal to Barcelona.

According to the transfer market reporter, the Pole has signed a 3-year deal with an option of extending the contract for one more year, until 2026.

Lewandowski's salary will decrease in the last two years of his deal. It is said to currently stand at €9m net per season.

Barcelona could reportedly terminate the 33-year-old's contract by paying a compensation fee which is undisclosed.

Meanwhile, according to Spanish journalist Alfredo Martinez, Lewandowski's agent, Pini Zahavi, will earn an astronomical €20m in commission fee following his client's move to Barcelona.

The payment is going to be divided into four parts, €5m per year.

With the agent fee no included in the transfer fee, Barcelona will probably pay close to €70m for the services of Lewandowski.

On paper, Lewandowski joined the Blaugrana for €45m plus €5m in variables.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Lewandowski will fly to Spain today, July 16, for a medical before signing a three-year contract with the Blaugrana. The contract has an option to extend Lewandowski’s stay by another year as well.

He was spotted at their latest training sessions in much higher spirits, as the deal was agreed on.

Football journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted photos of Lewandowski saying goodbye to his teammates and coach, as he prepares for his future in Spain.
