German giants Bayern Munich have finally agreed to part ways with their Polish striker, Robert Lewandowski.

The Bundesliga champions and the Catalan club agreed on a €50 million transfer fee for the services of the 33-year-old striker.

Lewandowski had just a year left on his contract with the German side but had not been shy about expressing his desire to leave the Bundesliga champions.

According to Spanish journalist Alfredo Martinez, Lewandowski's agent, Pini Zahavi, will earn an astronomical €20m in commission fee following his client's move to Barcelona.

The payment is going to be divided into four parts, €5m per year.

With the agent fee no included in the transfer fee, Barcelona will probably pay close to €70m for the services of Lewandowski.

On paper, Lewandowski joined the Blaugrana for €45m plus €5m in variables.

Pni Zahavi is regarded as one of the world's most famous football agents. He is said to have a warm relationship with Joan Laporta.

Meanwhile, Lewandowski will fly to Spain today, July 16, for a medical before signing a three-year contract with the Blaugrana. The contract has an option to extend Lewandowski’s stay by another year as well.

Bayern Munich have long insisted that Lewandowski was not for sale and turned down offers from Barca before.

Lewandowski recently returned to pre-season training with the German side but looked very disinterested in being a part of the sessions.

He was spotted at their latest training sessions in much higher spirits, as the deal was agreed on. Football journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted photos of Lewandowski saying goodbye to his teammates and coach, as he prepares for his future in Spain.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Robert Lewandowski is facing backlash from some supporters after the striker revealed he wants to quit Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich this summer.

The striker has been receiving death threats online since he opened up about his desire to link up with Barcelona ahead of the 2022/23 season.

According to Bulinews, Lewandowski has now taken the action of leaving his wife and kids back home as he returned to Germany for preseason training with Bayern Munich.
