Patrick Viera still holds a little grudge against Manchester United legend, Roy Keane years after both men grazed the fields in the English Premier League.

Viera who was captain of Arsenal and Keane had one of the fiercest rivalries in the history of the Premier League while both players played for the Gunners and Manchester United respectively in the 90s.

The 46-year-old Viera refused to touch Roy Keane’s jersey while he was presented with the former Man United icon’s shirt during a tv show The Sun reports.

The French midfielder who now manages Premier League side, Crystal Palace later admitted he had a love-hate relationship with the Irish midfielder who he confessed he respects always.

Viera would also reveal he thinks he was better on the football pitch than his Manchester United rival during their Premier League playing days.

Meanwhile, Patrick Viera will not go soft on his Crystal Palace players when the 2022/23 English Premier League season commences in August.

The 46-year-old manager had a decent campaign in his first season in England as a manager but the Daily Mail reports Viera has now charged his players, his staff and himself to bring more than they did last campaign.

Viera guided Crystal Palace to an FA Cup semi-final, recorded 48 league points in the Premier League, and was nominated for Premier League Manager of the Year in the 2021/22 season.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira will face no action following his clash with an Everton fan during a recent Premier League match.

Vieira was involved in an altercation with a Toffees supporter at Goodison Park back last Thursday, May 19.

A video from the incident showed the former Arsenal star kicking the Everton fan shortly after the full-time whistle of the tense encounter.
