Legendary Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, seemingly showed his allegiance to Real Madrid as he was captured celebrating during the Spanish giants' victory in the Champions League semi-final.

Facing a potential defeat against Bayern Munich in front of a fervent Santiago Bernabeu crowd, substitute Joselu delivered a remarkable brace, orchestrating an epic comeback win for Los Blancos.

Joselu's double secured a hard-fought 2-1 triumph on Wednesday night, culminating in a 4-3 aggregate victory across two legs for Carlo Ancelotti's side, MARCA reports.

According to The Standard, Madrid will now set its sights on clinching a record-extending 15th Champions League title as it prepares to face Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley on June 1.

While Dortmund's journey to the final was impressive, with a stunning victory over Paris Saint-Germain, it pales in comparison to the dramatic fashion in which Real Madrid secured their spot.

Rio Ferdinand shows massive love for Real Madrid

The stadium erupted in jubilation after Joselu's equaliser in the 88th minute and eventual match-winner in stoppage time.

Even Ferdinand, who was on punditry duty, couldn't resist being swept up in the moment.

In a video circulating on social media, the retired footballer, a former Champions League winner with Manchester United in 2008, can be seen caught up in excitement, jubilantly celebrating the decisive goal from the pitch side.

United take final decision on Erik ten Hag

As Rio Ferdinand celebrates Real Madrid's success, his former club, Manchester United, has reportedly reached a final decision regarding Erik Ten Hag's fate ahead of the FA Cup final, Sports Brief reports.

Despite mounting pressure from fans and pundits calling for his dismissal, United's leadership has opted to retain the former Ajax manager for the time being.

Consequently, the 54-year-old will remain in charge for the upcoming FA Cup final against rivals Manchester City.
