English-born forward Eddie Nketiah scored two goals either side of halftime as Arsenal returned to winning ways,

Nketiah's brace helped the Gunners arrest their three-game losing streak when they defeated Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge.

What was Nketiah's performance against Chelsea?

The 23-year-old striker was handed his first start by Mikel Arteta in a mighty long while but did more than enough to repose the trust placed in him to lead the lines for Arsenal.

Although, Nketiah did not last the entire duration of the game, he left a good account of himself bagging a brace as Arsenal stunned Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Eddie Nketiah scored the first goal for Arsenal in the 13th minute, but Chelsea restored parity four minutes later through Timo Werner.

English youngster Emile Rowe scored the Gunners' second goal in the 27th minute, but Chelsea restored parity again five minutes later at Stamford Bridge through Azpilicueta.

Nketiah took the lead for Arsenal for the third time in the game when he scored his second goal in the 57th minute before Bukayo Saka sealed the win via a penalty at the death for Arsenal to win 4-2.

Eddie Nketiah leaves nationality switch door open

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that English-born forward Eddie Nketiah has left his doors opened for a Ghana invite ahead of the FIAF World Cup in Qatar 2022.

The 22-year-old Arsenal forward has represented England at youth levels, and remains the all-time leading scorer for the U21, but he is ready to play for the Black Stars.

In an interview with the Beautiful Game Podcast, Nketiah revealed he is opened to talks with the Ghana Football Association.
