Football fans have spoken out on Amazulu’s plans to pursue legal action against Kaizer Chiefs over their pursuit of Siyethemba Sithebe.

Kaizer Chiefs agreed on a deal to sign the player once his contract with Amazulu expires at the end of the month.

Once Sithebe agreed to join the Amakhosi, he was banned from playing for the club again by owner Sandile Zungu, a move that has caused tension at the club, Sowetan LIVE reported.

The way in which Chiefs approached the player angered Amazulu owner, Sandile Zungu, who is now gathering evidence to prove that Chiefs approached their player illegally, The South African reported.

Kaizer Chiefs face another transfer ban, Amazulu pursues legal action against Amakhosi over Siyethemba Sithebe

Kaizer Chiefs already have one legal case already pending with the Premier Soccer League, and they soon could be in the middle of another legal battle with Amazulu and FIFA, Sports Brief earlier reported.

Kaizer Chiefs spent most of the January transfer window attempting to sign wantaway Amazulu midfielder, Siyethemba Sithebe, to the club. Sithebe has agreed to join the Amakhosi at the end of the season when his contract with the Usuthu ends.

According to the publication, Amazulu is gathering evidence to prove that Chiefs approached the player before they were legally allowed to do so. Sithebe entered the last six months of his contract with Amazulu and was therefore allowed to agree on terms with another team.
