According to Soccer Laduma, Amazulu and Kaizer Chiefs met over the weekend to try and come to an agreement for the services of the player, with talks said to have reached an advanced stage. According to the report, Chiefs offered a player plus cash deal to Amazulu for the Sithebe’s services, but this was rejected.

Chiefs had previously offered two players to Usuthu for Sithebe’s services but this was already rejected. One of those players was centre forward Lazarous Kambole. Kambole has failed to impress at the Amakhosi, The South African confirmed.

According to the player’s agent, Musawakhe Sithebe, the clubs could not agree on a new deal either. He added that he hoped Sithebe would not be sidelined at Amazulu as a result of the ongoing transfer saga.

Amazulu owner Sandile Zungu said the player would be banned from wearing the Amazulu kit ever again while coach Benni McCarthy said he would pick the player if he performed in training.

With the transfer window closing at midnight, time is running out for Chiefs to sign the midfielder. KickOff reports that a source within the Amazulu camp is expecting a deal to be reached before midnight though.

Amazulu angered by Kaizer Chiefs transfer proposal, won't let Siyethemba Sithebe go in exchange for 'rejects'

Kaizer Chiefs find themselves at the centre of more transfer news, this time angering Amazulu in the process, Sports Brief reported. Chiefs tried to sign midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe from Usuthu by offering the KZN club two other players in return.

Amazulu Chairman Sandile Zungu confirmed to KickOff that Chiefs had offered Amazulu two players in exchange for Sithebe but he turned down the offer because the club was not interested in signing 'rejects'.

The Citizen confirmed that Sithebe has signed a pre-contract with Chiefs and will join them in June when the season ends. The Amakhosi were looking to secure the player's services during the January transfer window though after losing out Teboho Mokoena's signature to Mamelodi Sundowns.
