Perez and Doncic's Real Madrid connection

Perez was Doncic's former boss. The latter played for Real Madrid before moving to the NBA.

He made his professional debut for the Spanish giants on April 30, 2015, at the age of 16 years, two months, and two days.

He became a regular member of Real's senior team in the 2015-16 season, averaging 4.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game in the ACB.

He rose to prominence in the 2016-17 season, averaging 7.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3 assists per outing in the ACB. He posted almost similar numbers in the EuroLeague, averaging 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.

He led Real Madrid to a Final Four berth in the EuroLeague in 2017 and was named the tournament's Rising Star.

He stepped up his play in the 2017-18 season, producing monster numbers in his final year with Real.

He became the youngest winner of the EuroLeague MVP award, capturing the top prize after leading Real Madrid to the championship.

Doncic left Real Madrid after that season and was selected by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2018 NBA Draft. He has yet to reach the NBA Finals in his career, a streak he hopes to end this postseason.

He didn't disappoint Perez in Game 3, with Doncic finishing one assist shy of a triple-double in Dallas' 101-90 win over the LA Clippers.

He scored 22 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out nine assists, helping the Mavs take a 2-1 series lead, per ESPN.

Guler stars in Real Madrid win

Sports Brief recently reported on Arda Guler's heroics in the match against Real Socieded.

He scored in the 29th minute to hand Real Madrid a vital 1-0 victory.

They moved 14 points clear of Barcelona at the top of the table with the win.
